An image of a TV actor’s wife breastfeeding while on the toilet has gone viral.
The image which shows Elisha Wilson Beach nursing her child while on the toilet was originally posted on Instagram.
The wife of TV actor Michael Beach, who has appeared on Sons of Anarchy, Third Watch and ER, shared the image, with the caption:
“This is motherhood and it ain’t always pretty. What’s your #momtruth? #motherhood #motherhoodaintpretty #tmi #confessionsofamom #ididthat #iamnotsorry”.
However, the photo which was then shared on Facebook has since gone viral and been heavily criticised by many mothers concerned about the issue of hygiene.
However, speaking on the criticism, Elisha took to Facebook to defend herself, writing:
“This is my picture and yes I am breastfeeding. I shared it on Instagram knowing that some people would think it’s TMI but it’s reality. Everybody complains that social media is full of people pretending to live picture perfect lives and I see so many mothers doubting themselves based on those photos. Well, this is reality and so many mothers are doing this exact thing right now. Motherhood ain’t pretty but then that’s what makes it so beautiful.”
