A young mother from Connecticut was left shaken after being ‘verbally attacked’ by a man for breastfeeding her baby in any almost empty Target cafeteria.
Jessie Maher may have been shaken but she also had the strength to video the man who called her ‘disgusting’ and cursed at her.
Speaking to WFSB News, she said
“He asked me if I could do it somewhere else, and then he started to say it’s disgusting, and he just kind of kept repeating that,”
But a lovely thing happened, other shoppers and staff at Target began to escort the man away after he demanded a refund. One women said
He has no right to be doing what he’s doing, you have a baby in your hands,” one woman tells Maher in the video. “You shouldn’t be ashamed of feeding your baby. He can go the other way. This is a beautiful moment right now. If he doesn’t like it he can go.”

Jesse posted the video on her Facebook page and it has over 8.2m views and a lot of comments defending the mom.
“The amount of people coming at me to defend me was amazing, amazing,” Maher tells WFSB.
